Many public awareness campaigns are being organized by the government to create electoral awareness amongst people. A Vote Power Rally is also oragnised in Derabassi on 29- February-2024 under the leadership of Dr. Himanshu Gupta (SDM Derabassi) in which many colleges participated.

As part of “SVEEP Team 112 Derabassi”, Longowal Group of Colleges also actively participated in this rally. The college team comprising of students and teachers was flagged off by Dr. Rosy Katyal (Principal) from the Polytechnic wing of the college. The students in the rally carried banners, posters, placards and pamphlets highlighting the importance elections and voting in democracy.

They appealed to the people to register themselves in electoral rolls and cast their valuable vote in the elections. Naib Tehsildar Harvinder Singh, Madam Meena Rajput, Mr. Rajesh Kumar,Ms. Sarika Bansal including Mr. Balwinder Singh and Mr. Jagjeet Singh from Govt. ITI - Lalru were also the part of this rally.
